Renova Energia, a Brazilian renewable energy developer, has finished the installation of 14 wind parks in northeastern state of Bahia, which have a combined capacity of 293.6 MW.

The projects, which are the product of the second reserve auction held by the government in 2009, comprise a total of 184 wind turbines.

All the wind farms have environmental licenses for operation, the company said.

However, they will not begin generating power straight away because the necessary transmission infrastructure to enable them to feed into the grid is not in place yet.
