Atiaia Energia Chile SpA, a renewable energy developer, is to invest $240m in a hydroelectric power station that will harness the waters of the Bio Bio River in Chile.

The Rucalhue hydroelectric facility will have a capacity of 90 MW, and its future output will be supplied to the Central Interconnected System (SIC) via a 220 kV, 1.5 km power line.

Atiaia Energia Chile is a subsidiary of Brazil’s power generator Atiaia Energia.
