Austria’s Strabag and Croatian company Končar have been awarded the contract to build a hydroelectric power plant in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Energy supply company JP Elektroprivreda BiH made the award to build the Vranduk hydropower plant on the river Bosna.
Enegy Business Review reports that Strabag has a 63.4 per cent share in the project.
The 20 MW hydropower plant will be completed for € 57m within a period of five years.
The contract includes the planning of the power station, the construction, supply and installation of all plant and equipment, as well as testing and commissioning. The station will be equipped with three Kaplan turbines.
