Renewable energy investment and asset management firm Aurea Capital has bought three solar PV plants in Spain from Siemens Gamesa in a deal worth $113m.

The plants together have a total capacity of 1.2 MW and are located in the Spanish provinces of Huesca, Murcia and Huelva.

The sale to Madrid-headquartered Aurea is part of a non-core asset disposal programme by Siemens Gamesa which it says is designed “to enhance its resource allocation and cash management”.
