Rooftop PV system is the height of fashion

Martifer Solar has recently completed a rooftop solar installation, with a combined capacity of 862.25 kW, for the well-known fashion brand Max Mara in Italy.

The multi-section plant (pictured)à‚  has been installed on the rooftop of the industrial unit of Diffusion Tessile, a subsidiary of Max Mara, located in the Emilia Romagna region.

Martifer Solar was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and will be in charge of the operation and maintenance (O&M) services.

The photovoltaic plant comprises a complex layout of the surfaces divided in three sections, totaling more than 3400 polycrystalline modules.

According to Martifer Solar, with an annual production capacity of 1060 MWh, the installation will produce the equivalent to the consumption of about 900 inhabitants and will avoid approximately 700 tons of carbon emissions per year.

The plant will benefit from the incentives of the ‘Quinto Conto Energia (feed-in tariff systems according to the GSE Register), with the bonus integration linked to the European supply of at least 60% of the components.

Martifer Solar has also recently completed a 195 kW installation on the rooftop of an industrial unit in the Campania region operated byà‚  Flexpackaging AL Spa, a specilaist in flexible packaging.

With the inclusion of these two projects, Martifer Solar has installed 55 MW of solar energy in Italy, where it has been present since 2008.
