The world’s largest thin-film solar company Hanergy has unveiled a ‘smart’ bus station in Tianjin, China.

The launch comes after the company has already opened similar bus stations in Beijing, Dali and Langfang.

This station is powered by 28 thin-film solar panels on its roof and provides multiple services to passengers including news browsing, wifi hotspot, a digital library, mobile phone charging and vending machines.

It is installed with MiaSolé flexible modules on the roof to generate electricity. MiaSolé is a US-based subsidiary of Beijing-headquartered Hanergy.
