The general manager of the Mexican Institute of Competitiveness (Imco), Juan Pardinas, has highlighted the advantages that renewable energy projects can offer for Mexico.

After presenting a report, ‘Cleantech Mexico 2015: Outlook and Policies for Unlocking Eco-innovation’, Pardinas (pictured) said the country’s economic growth should be based in clean energy sources.

The report showed that Mexico is lagging behind other countries in clean technology.

Imco’s general manager stressed the energy reform approved by the government as a way to drive renewable energy.
