Renewable cooling for Dutch business space

Dutch utility company Nuon is going to provide buildings in the Amsterdam ‘Zuidoost’ business park development with renewable cooling following a decision from the Water Board of Amstel, Gooi en Vecht, to grant permission to use water from the Ouderkerkerplas lake.

Nuon is expected to start up operations in 2009 and is to use the cold water extracted from the Ouderkerkerplas to provide offices and other buildings in the business park with renewable cooling.
