Work is underway on a 91 MW German solar park that will be the largest in Europe, says photovoltaic firm Q Cells

The park, being built on a former military airbase in Germany, will comprise three arrays and will provide electricity to 22,500 homes in the Brandenburg-Briest area, said Q Cells.

Work started last month and Q Cells plans to go live by the end of the year, having set itself an eight-week timeline for getting the park built and operational.

Q Cells has built solar parks in Germany and Canada and last month clinched an order for a 30 MW project in California.
