Pope calls for more renewables in Argentina

The leader of the Catholic Church has expressed “his determination to combat climate change betting on the development of clean energy in our country,” an Argentine official said.

“Francisco welcomed our document that aims to diversify the energy matrix, showing a strong commitment to protecting the environment,” the source added.

“We received this with great joy and warmth, leaving a clear message of hope for future generations and making an important on renewable energy in Argentina and the world,” he added.

The Pope has already raised the need to curb the emission of greenhouse gases “such as replacing the use of fossil fuels and developing renewable energy sources.”
