Aela Energia wins lion’s share in Chile auction

Aela Energia, a joint venture between Actis and Mainstream Renewable Power, is set to build and manage two wind projects.

The projects will have a combined generation capacity of 265 MW, under a competitive bidding process organized by the National Energy Commission (NCE) of Chile to supply 1.2 TWh of electricity to regulated customers in Chile’s SIC electricity system in two years’ time.

These 265 MW represent 65 per cent of the tender, in which 31 companies participated.

ࢀ¨à¢€¨Alea Energia offered an average price of $78.8/MWh.
