Dong Energy Group has sold off its Danish onshore wind power generation business for $132m as part of its plan to divest non-core assets totalling $1.6bn.

Dong forged the agreement with Danish energy company SE and the Danish pension fund PFA and enables the company focus solely on offshore wind enterprise.

Onshore wind

Dong’s onshore wind unit comprises 272 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 196 MW located at about 80 different sites in Denmark. The unit also includes an under-developed 23MW project.
