Renewable energy company, Reservoir Capital, has received approval for the construction of the Brodarevo 1 and 2 hydroelectric projects and related infrastructure on the River Lim in Serbia.

The scheme involves the construction of dams and power plants for the hydroelectric projects, two new sections of road between Mijoska and the Montenegro border and a new 110kV power line from Brodarevo to Sjenica, reports Power Technology.

Reservoir president and CEO, Miljana Vidovic, said: “This is an important step for the company and we are very pleased to have had our designs for the Brodarevo projects approved both locally and by the Serbian Government.”

Brodarevo 1 covers the River Lim upstream of Brodarevo to the Montenegro border and has an installed power of 23MW capacity while Brodarevo 2 has a capacity of 25MW.
