Amplio opens Japan office to target 30 MW of solar

Italian company Amplio Energy has opened an office in Japan and is targeting 30 MW of solar power in the country.

Amplio says it is “currently firming up the development pipeline and is in discussions with a number of investors and potential partners to fund the construction and the operation of these plants”, and it expects construction to start next year.Amplio Group

Amplio Energy chief executive Alberto Dalla Rosa said that Japan “has some attractive opportunities” and added that he believed Amplio was “in a strong position to fully utilise its experience to build a substantial platform in Japan”.

Riccardo Segat, chief executive of parent company Amplio Group, said that “the size of the Japanese market, together with significant liquidity and support from institutional and professional investors looking for the type of assets we are developing, should deliver a positive future for Amplio Energy”.
