Dec. 15, 2000, M2 Communications – It has been found that three out of four Swedish nuclear power plants have old emergency plans.
Due to the age and inaccuracy of the plans, rescue operations would be more difficult during any possible accident.
At Barseback, the evacuation plans have not been updated since 1996 and the telephone number to which the rescue services need to report a radioactive leak rings at a bookstore in Malmo.
The plans for Oskarshamn and Ringhals are also old, according to Sveriges Radios Ekoredaktion, a radio programme.
