This week’s Newscast stories lead with the RWE AGM ” primarily the speech made by chief executive Peter Terium in Essen, Germany.

RWE are in the process of arresting a serious decline in fortunes over recent years and Mr Terium did not hold back, when reminding his audience of the challenges ahead. He also had some interesting things to say about how RWE is re-positioning itself to cope with the new energy paradigm in Germany and Europe.

There is also a report on the investment required to facilitate Middle East and North African countries develop to their potential and the obstacles that hinder that progress.

We take a look at how Siemens will equipà‚  the BorWin3 offshore wind project, on the Baltic coast and Alstom’s impressive progress in assisting China’s nuclear power sector.
