Following the recent retirement of several top executives, Framatome has made three new appointments to its management team: Herve Freslon, vice president nuclear operations; Gilbert Lehmann, CFO; and Alain Vallee, vice president of research technology and quality.

Yorkshire Electricity Group plc, has named new directors following its acquisition by American Electric Power and Public Service Co. of Colorado. Appointed to the board are: E. Linn Draper Jr., chairman; Wayne H. Brunetti, vice chairman; Donald M. Clements Jr.; Richard C. Kelly; Armando A. Pena; Teresa S. Madden; J. Malcolm Chatwin; Anthony W.J. Coleman; and Graham J. Hall. Carl A. Erikson has been named Yorkshire`s corporate liaison director.
Leonardo A. Rodriguez has been promoted to Fisher-Rosemount Latin America president.
Greg Yurek, American Superconductor Corp. founder and CEO has been honored with an award of merit from the Japanese Prime Minister`s Science and Technology Agency for his contributions in promoting research and development of high-temperature superconductor applications. This is the first time such an award has been received by a non-Japanese national. The award was also bestowed on Dr. S. Tanaka, International Superconductor Technology Center chairman; Dr. T. Nakahara, Sumitomo Electric Industries executive advisor to the CEO and former vice chairman; and Dr. H. Maeda, Tohoku University professor of materials research.
