Brazilian nuclear plant postponed

Electronuclear, a subsidiary of Eletrobras (NYSE:à‚ EBR), has seen its Angra lll nuclear power plant completion delayed until at least July 2016.

BNamericas reports that the plant was originally scheduled for completion in December 2015, but a stall in the bid round process has scuppered that plan.

The delay is down to a court appeal by the Construcap e Orteng consortium, which was excluded from the tender process for the third phase of construction. The third phase includes two contracts for $1bn for the installation of electromechanical equipment.
