Nov. 08, 2000 (Prague Business Journal)—Austrian politicians and industrial representatives have started criticizing opponents of Temelín for blockading the Czech-Austrian border, according to the Austrian Economic Chamber, as transporters in the CR’s neighbor lose ATS 9 mln per day.

However, protest organizer and Upper Austrian politician Otto Gumpinger claims 90% of the region’s population support the activists.

Meanwhile, the nuclear power plant increased power output in its first reactor to 5% yesterday morning – the highest level approved so far by supervisory bodies during the first stage of Temelín’s launch (Lidove Noviny 2, Hospodarske Noviny 4).
