Perma-Pipe wins $27m in orders for Jeddah Airport cooling

MFRI multiline company Perma-Pipe has won orders worth $27m to perform the first phase of the district cooling project being developed at King Abdul-Aziz International (KAIA) airport in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

These orders are in addition to the $ 23m announced in a company’s press release earlier, bringing the total of major project work in Saudi Arabia to nearly $ 50m.

The King Abdul-Aziz International Airport is one of the largest projects in the recent history of Saudi Arabia.

The total facilities span over 25,000 acres (100 square kilometers) including the chilled water distribution system, utility plants, utility tunnel, plant nursery, and transportation center with integrated rail station.

MFRI, Inc. is a multi-line company engaged in businesses such as pre-insulated specialty piping systems for oil and gas gathering, district heating and cooling and other applications.
