New G-Drive unit launched
Cummins Engine Company has launched the latest of its G-Drive engines, a range designed for power generation applications with outputs between 25 and 2000 kWe.
The new QSX15-G diesel engine is a 15 litre, six cylinder unit for stationary power generation applications. It has a twin overhead cam design and is equipped with Cummins` electronic control system.
Ratings for the engine are available in the 220-440 kWe range. The units are designed to have a high power to weight ratio and a high output per litre. Also featured is Cummins` high pressure fuel injection system which integrates an electronic speed governor.
Cummins` SmartPower electronic control system enables effective control of the engines and helps to keep the emission levels within stringent EU and world-wide requirements.
