District heating partnership develops geothermal plant in Paris

Centrax is to again with Joint Geothermal Syndicate of Maisons-Alfort to provide a CX501 generator for the expansion of a major geothermal heating plant outside Paris, France.

The UK-based industrial power systems specialist will install a new 5.3MW indoor unit to supply electricity and heat to complement the output of a geothermal installation that powers a district heating system supplying more than 12,000 houses, apartments, schools, businesses and a university in the Paris suburban area.

The Joint Geothermal Syndicate chose DALKIA as site operator with the main contractor for the project, SERMET, acting as consultants for the Joint Syndicate.
