The Wisconsin Energies-owned 615 MW coal-fired Oak Creek Unit 2 expansion project is now complete and in commercial operation after facing delays. The second of two coal-fired power plants was completed Jan. 12

The start-up was delayed because of a vibration problem in one of two main water pumps. The plant has been generating power since last year but wasn’t declared complete because of tests that it had to undergo, including resolving the pump issue.
