Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will this week unveil a new subsidiary set up to strengthen the company’s presence in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

On Thursday (October 1), MHI’s senior vice-president Yoshihiro Shiraiwa will take up two new roles: President of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries France (MHIF), a wholly-owned subsidiary based in Paris, and Chief Regional Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

MHI said today that it has set up the new company to build on an expansion of its business in continental Europe, and in particular, a growing number of business partners in France.

The company said that Paris-based MHIF will function “as the nucleus of MHI’s group-related business promotion throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa”.
