The natural gas-fired plant, installed by Siemens Power Generation, has an overall efficiency of 92.5% and will meet around 35% of Gothenburg’s district heating demands and 30% of its power requirements. Plant commissioning was scheduled to be completed at the end of 2006.

Thailand is expected to have a significant upgrade of its ‘Very Small Power Producer’ (VSPP) regulations by the end of the year. The upgrade will both make it easier for clean electricity generation to connect to the grid, and will substantially expand the scope of the regulations to include larger-size generators and fossil-fuelled CHP generation.
