The Bulo Bulo thermoelectric plant, located in central Bolivia, will increase its capacity from 90 MW to 140 MW.

The capacity increase will achieved by the installation of a new gas turbine. Bulo Bulo currently has two operational gas turbines, according to local daily Jornada.

Bulo Bulo power station is owned by YPFB Corporacion.

The plant’s manager Ramon Bascope said that the increase in the plant’s capacity will mean that electricity can be supplied to both urban and rural areas that are without electricity at the present moment.
