BelEnergia is to commence construction of a combined heat and power plant in Belarus, which will have an estimated construction cost of $563m.

According to BelTA media, the plant will be located in Brest and is included in the Belarusian energy system development program for the period up to 2016.
CHP plant
The project is being part financed by the Italian company, which plans to invest $67m in the construction of the infrastructure, including urban heat and electrical networks.

The plant will be run on natural gas and is expected to produce first heat and energy in 2016.
