UK Green Investment Bank publishes first annual report

The results of the UK‘s Green Investment Bank‘s first annual report will be presented to coincide with the institution’s Annual Review meetings in Edinburgh on Tuesday.

The report covers the period to 31st March 2013 and the Executive Team will use the Annual Review to present the results of its initiatives in renewable power generation to a wide range of stakeholders.

In Edinburgh, the guest speakers include Greg Barker, Minister of State for Climate Change and in London, Vince Cable MP, (Pictured) Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Mr Cable said that the Green Investment Bank has a ‘pivotal role to play’ in the financing of the UK’s transition to a green economy.

“It has already made a positiveà‚ start,à‚ with à‚£635m committed to green projectsà‚ and with every à‚£1 investedà‚ leveraging another à‚£3 of private investment. The bank has a number of strong deals in the pipeline, which will help ità‚ to build on the solid foundations that have now been laid.”
