Mitsubishi Electric has promoted Şevket Saraçoğlu to take charge of its operations in Turkey.

Saraçoğlu has been general manager of Mitsubishi Electric’s Turkey Factory Automation Systems Division since 2013.

He takes over as president of Mitsubishi Electric Turkey from Masahiro Fujisawa.

Mitsubishi Electric Turkey’s main business fields include power industry technology, HVAC systems, factory automation and robot technologies.

Saraçoğlu started his career at NETAŞ Nothern Telecom, followed by Alarko Holding. He founded a new department in the Korona Group of Companies where he was responsible for cement factory control systems.

He was the founding partner of Genel Teknik Sistemler (GTS) in 1992 and when GTS became a distributor of Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation Systems in 1993, he started his collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric.
