Glasgow-headquartered Aggreko are in final preparations to provide modular power at the 50th Super Bowl, the biggest sporting occasion on the US calendar on Sunday.

The temporary power specialists are providing their expertise at Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium in California when the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers go head to in American football’s showpiece event.

Aggreko will provide large-scale power generation and HVAC assistance for the golden anniversary of America’s largest national football championship game.

The company’s equipment will heat and cool, and generate power for the entire 68,500-seat Gold LEED-certified stadium, which has the ability to expand to seat an additional 6,500 observers.

Aggreko’s major events division, Aggreko Event Services, will provide: 16 MW of temporary power; 1,400 KW of electric heat; engineered cooling solutions for the big game and the surrounding VIP and hospitality venues; a crew of 12 technicians to manage the installation and operations; including hundreds of accessories, including panels, transformers and about 250,000 ft. of cable.

Technical experts will monitor the installation via the proprietary Aggreko Remote Monitoring (ARM) – a real-time monitoring and diagnostic service – to ensure everything runs to peak efficiency.

The company will also power several marquee events and provide support services including: UK band, Coldplay’s halftime show, the broadcast and international media compounds, Super Bowl City, The Friday Night Party at Treasure Island and the NFL Honors Red Carpet.

Already a long-established provider for the Olympic Games, Pan American/Parapan American Games, PGA Tour, Tour de France, Ryder Cup, and FIFA World Cup this will be the 26th time Aggreko has been called upon to serve the NFL’s top event.
