Italy-based Turboden, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, launched its new Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) system this week at POWER-GEN Europe.

With its technical partner, industrial boiler firm Bono Sistemi, the company presented its Steam & Power ORC system for cogeneration from renewable power sources and waste heat.

According to Turboden, the temperature level of the system’s ORC cycle allows cogeneration of power and medium pressure steam with high overall efficiency.

Turboden said the system “will be the new, sustainable, efficient, complete and economically profitable solution conceived to satisfy those manufacturing processes requiring substantial amounts of medium pressure steam”.

Turboden is in Hall 3 at stand HD82 at POWER-GEN Europe.
