Siemens Energy Service has been contracted to maintain the Jebel Ali M combined cycle power plant in Dubai.
The $450m contract for the 2000 MW plant was awarded by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEAMA), according to Cogeneration and Onsite Power Production Magazine.
The contract includes the provision of comprehensive maintenance services for the six Siemens SGT5-4000F turbines and six SGen5-1000A series generators, which are installed in the plant.
The Long-Term Program (LTP) agreement includes the option for an extension of the service period.
The power station has the capacity to supply approximately one million households in Dubai with clean power generated by highly efficient gas turbines.
