New Research into the progress of the CHP market in the Netherlands has found growth to be minimal as the ongoing European recession continues unabated.
The report by GlobalData entitled ‘Cogeneration Market in the Netherlands: Growth Restricted due to Eurozone Crisis‘ has found that there is a greater interest by companies looking for more efficient equipment but that has not been matched by uptake.
The repowering of old power plants with cogeneration technology is a consistent trend in the Dutch power market, but generally the economic slowdown has halted greater deployment.
GlobalData insight says this trend is likely to continue until more favourable political and financial incentives are introduced in order to encourage the deployment of cogeneration in the Netherlands.
