Waste firm launches CHP business

Waste treatment and composting firm New Earth has launched a renewable energy business based on the use of waste-derived feedstock power plants and direct heating schemes.

New Earth Solutions was established to help UK local authorities meet their obligations to divert waste under the EU landfill directive and its facilities can be designed on a modular basis with capacity to process up to 100,000 tonnes of biodegradable organic and residual mixed black bag waste per annum.

Chairman Bill Riddle commented: ‘Making the link between waste management and energy recovery is a natural step ahead for us.’
