Danish eco-village a model for sustainable energy

Permatopia, a new, visionary combination of residences and farm, just south of Copenhagen in Karise Denmark, is currently being built. Permatopia geothermal heating The entire area is heated with geothermal heat. The geothermal heat pump will be powered by a wind turbine and connected to a heat accumulator so the inhabitants can enjoy hot water 24/7.

The pre-insulated piping solution by Thermaflex is installed to transport both heating water as well as domestic hot water. The system is Cradle to Cradle Certifiedà¢â€ž¢, meaning no materials used in the production are harmful for the environment and the valuable raw materials can easily be harnessed for future use.

Plug-and-play Flexalink house connections were delivered to the project in numbered packages matching house numbers for swift and easy deployment. Flexalen requires fewer welds on-site, less excavation is needed and it is a light weight system.à‚
