In its latest initiative aimed at reducing the company’s carbon footprint, Coca-Cola has opted to purchase all of the heating, cooling and power output from Mas Energy’s 6.5 MW tri-generation landfill gas to energy facility in Atlanta, US.

As a result of the installation, the company has earned third spot on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) list of the largest on-site green power generators.
The Green Power Partnership is a voluntary program that encourages organisations to use green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with conventional electricity use.
