British firm wins $6m renewables deal with US college

UK renewables company ENER-G is to carry out a $6.3m energy overhaul on the campus of a US college.

The deal with Saint Peter’s College, New Jersey, marks the first American contract for the Manchester-headquartered company.

ENER-G will install a 200kW solar photovoltaic system on several campus buildings, together with a trigeneration plant to supply low carbon heat, electricity and cooling for buildings.

The college’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning infrastructure will also be upgraded to include new boilers and variable speed pumps.

The project is due for completion next summer.
