Hong Kong-based renewable power project developer Asia Clean Capital (ACC) this week announced a co-operation agreement with Chinese solar panel maker Trina Solar to develop over 300 MW in industrial on-site solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in mainland China.

Under the terms of the agreement, ACC will provide construction and financing for the rooftop PV systems, while Trina Solar will contribute technical support, engineering design and business consultation.

The pipeline projects have already been identified and will consist primarily of installations at Chinese manufacturing and production facilities owned by foreign-backed Fortune 500 firms, ACC said in a statement.

Over its lifetime, the project pipeline is expected to save 9 million tonnes of CO2.
