The plant, which will generate up to 100 kW of electricity and up to 250 kW of heat, will be run to match the CAT’s on-site power and heating requirements as closely as possible

One of the largest privately-owned commercial solar energy systems in California – a 1 MW photovoltaic array – has been opened at the Vacaville manufacturing facility belonging to ALZA Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson company. The system will meet a third of the power required by the manufacturing plant on a high power demand summer day.
