US high school to get microturbine CHP

A 75 kW combined heat and power system is to be installed at Watertown High School in Connecticut, US.

The move comes on the heels of the sale of a Tecogen CM-75 kW CHP unit to Titan Energy.

Fitted with Tecogen’s ultra-low emission system, the CM-75 (pictured) will provide on-site power along with heating for the facility, the company said.

The equipment sale includes a 10-year service agreement.

Speaking about the project, Adam Teff, General Manager of Titan Energy, commented, ‘This project was made possible by Tecogen’s long track record of product innovation and reliable customer service, and byà‚ Watertown’sà‚ willingness to allow Tecogen and Titan the opportunity to succeed where others have failed.’
