On-site power for Bristol church

Bristol UK

A Victorian-era Bristol church in the UK is to have heating and electricity powered by renewable energy on-site.

The All Saints Church in the city is to do this by fitting an air source heat pump powered by a new rooftop solar panel installation.

The Grade II building’s energy refurbishment is being backed by a à‚£30,000 grant from the EDF Energy Green Fund.

It is hoped that the combination of new renewable technologies will meet up to 80 per cent of the church’s electricity and heating needs, for the benefit of worshipers and community groups that use the church, whilst saving money and reducing energy consumption.
