E.ON is contributing to the product development costs and retains a first option to purchase future CFCL micro-CHP units for the British market. The agreement complements E.ON’s existing activities in the field of micro-CHP, says the company, which is also trialling a Stirling engine-based domestic-scale CHP unit.

A CHP system at a fertilizer plant in the Netherlands is to become home to the first commercial MS5002E (Frame 5-2E) gas turbine manufactured by GE Oil & Gas. The Frame 5-2E is the newest member of GEʼs fleet of Frame 5 gas turbines, which has compiled more than 16 million hours of service worldwide.
