Isle of Wight CHP plant almost ready

The Isle of Wight in the UK is nearing the final stages of testing on a $1m combined heat and power (CHP) plant that is set to heat 750 homes on the island.

The plant has been installed at Southern Water’s wastewater treatment works at Sandown and generates electricity by capturing and burning biogas produced as part of the treatment process.
