Designer and manufacturer of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) turbines and turbogenerators, Turboden, has announced two new heat recovery generation module contracts.
Under the terms of a deal with RHI a 1 MW ORC module will be supplied to produce electricity by recovering heat from a calcining furnace at the Radenthein sintered magnesite production plant in Austria. RHI is a leading supplier of heat-resistant refractory products for the metal, cement, lime, glass, non-ferrous, energy, environment and process industries throughout the world. The plant start up is expected for the first half of 2009.
Subsequently, Turboden finalized a deal for a process heat recovery ORC plant of about 2 MW with Ciments du Maroc, a subsidiary of Italcimenti Group.
The system will recover heat from exhaust gas of the clinker furnace at the new production plant in Ait Baha, Morocco. The plant start up is expected for the second half of 2009.
