Sener is leading a consortium which has received a contract for the turnkey construction of an 85 MW cogeneration plant in Cosoleacaque, Mexico.

Alpek, Mexico’s largest petrochemical group, awarded the contract through its Grupo Petrotemex subsidiary, reports the Latin American Herald Tribune..

The new plant will feature two gas turbines, two heat recovery boilers and a backpressure steam turbine.

Spanish Engineering Company Sener will be in charge of the basic and detailed engineering and of coordinating the project, whose construction phase is due to be completed in February 2014.
