Landfill gas engine powers US gas conversion plant

Seattle, Washington-based alternative energy company Prometheus Energy Company built the landfill gas conversion facility at the Frank R. Bowerman Landfill, located in Irvine, Orange County, south of Los Angeles.

Chevron Energy Solutions, a Chevron (NYSE: CVX) subsidiary, has announced that it has begun engineering and construction of an innovative system at the City of Rialto’s wastewater treatment facility that will transform wastewater sludge and kitchen grease from local restaurants into clean, renewable power.
