Hydrogenics wins $1.8m repeat orders

4 November 2002 – Hydrogenics Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell technology, today announced that it has secured orders for multiple FCATS control and test systems from two customers located in Japan and Europe worth $1.8m.

FCATS is a proprietary product line of integrated fuel cell operating systems designed for control and testing of fuel cells. With these orders, Hydrogenics strengthens its customer base with automotive fuel cell developers and fuel cell component developers.

“These new orders, together with the orders that we announced last week, provide continued validation of the advanced features that we added to our FCATS platform, and at a macro level, point to an increased level of activity in fuel cell development worldwide,” comments Pierre Rivard, President and CEO. “As well, we garner real gratification from landing repeat sales because of what they mean in terms of customer satisfaction. We count on steadfast growth in our FCATS business in order for Hydrogenics to pursue our larger business plan aggressively and repeat sales are part of that critical growth.”
