Clarke Energy has announced that ECI Partners LLP, the UK growth focused mid-market private equity firm, has invested a minority shareholding in the clean energy company, in order to help it realise its global plans for growth.

Clarke Energy, based in Knowsley near Liverpool, UK employs 700 people worldwide, with a turnover of circa £201m to year-end 31 October 2011. It is the world’s largest independent provider of efficient, clean energy solutions using GE’s class-leading Jenbacher gas engines.

Clarke Energy has provided engines for some of Britain’s most high-profile installations, including Guys & St Thomas’ Hospital, The Shard and King’s Cross Development.
