Sustainable measures involved in the project include fitting external solar shading, an extensive roof-mounted photovoltaic panel array, advanced heat recovery system and connection into the university’s combined heat and power district heating system.

Starting on site in early summer, the project will be delivered over several phases with the first due for completion in summer 2017. Long & Partners is the M&E consultant.

ISG will also build and fit-out a new three-storey structure to create a suite of highly-specified undergraduate laboratories, designed to integrate with the existing building.

The Tinbergen Building is currently home to Oxford University’s Department of Experimental Psychology and Zoology.
