The new contract will see the investment of £4.8 million (US$9 million) under the private finance initiative (PFI) scheme for designing and installing a 1.4 MWe CHP engine, two 1.5 MW standby generators and two 5-tonne-per-hour boilers, as well as a 46-metre, 11-core chimney and an upgraded HV network. Following completion, Dalkia will operate and maintain the new plant for 20 years.

US ‘intelligent power solutions provider’ EnerNOC Inc has entered into a 40 MW ‘Negawatt Network’ agreement with Southern California Edison (SCE). The company was the sole recipient of an agreement resulting from SCE’s recent request for offers for demand-response resources.
